Meta Agent
The Meta agent in yourang.ai
What the Meta agent does, what you need to switch it on, and how this section of the guide is organised.
The Meta agent brings yourang.ai's conversational intelligence to Instagram and Facebook: it replies automatically to direct messages (DMs), responds to comments under your posts and moderates the public conversation, in your business's tone of voice, around the clock.
In one line
It is an AI agent of type “Meta”: it uses the same brain as your voice assistant (the same business information, the same uploaded documents), but it writes on your social channels instead of speaking on the phone. It takes a few minutes to set up and then works on its own.
Why an agent on Instagram and Facebook
- Your customers are already there. More and more requests about prices, availability and bookings arrive by DM or in the comments, not by phone. The Meta agent captures these opportunities instead of leaving them unanswered.
- Instant replies. A message left unanswered for hours is a customer looking elsewhere. The agent replies within seconds, at any hour.
- Comments under control. Public questions under a post get a useful answer; clearly abusive or spammy comments can be hidden automatically, protecting your profile's image.
- The same brain as your voice assistant. The agent draws on the same information you gave the platform (hours, services, price lists, procedures) so it answers consistently on every channel.
- It replies in the customer's language. It detects the language of the last message received and answers in that language, even when your documents are written in another one.
What the Meta agent handles
- Instagram direct messages. It replies to DMs received on your Instagram professional account.
- Facebook Messenger messages. It replies to messages received on your Facebook Page.
- Comments. It replies publicly to comments under your posts and, if you want, hides abusive ones.
- Unified inbox. Every conversation, automated or handled by a person, is collected in a single mailbox you can browse from the dashboard.
What you need to switch it on
- A Plus or Enterprise plan. The Meta agent is included only in the paid Plus and Enterprise plans. On a Free, Pro or trial plan it is unavailable: the dashboard shows a padlock with an invitation to upgrade.
- A Facebook Page and a professional Instagram profile. They must be linked to each other and administered by you. It is all explained in “Prepare your Meta accounts”.
- The Meta integration connected. You connect it once, from the Integrations section. Until it is active you cannot even create the agent: the “Meta” card in the creation flow stays disabled.
How it works, in four steps
You prepare your Meta accounts
You set up your Facebook Page and Instagram profile once (professional account, link, message access). It is all explained in “Prepare your Meta accounts”.
You connect the accounts to yourang.ai
From the Integrations section press “Connect” on the Meta card and authorise access. You do this only once.
You create and configure the Meta agent
You create an agent of type Meta, give it a name, write the instructions for messages and for comments and decide how it should behave. Then you switch it on.
The agent replies and you watch from the inbox
From that moment every DM or comment is handled automatically. You follow everything from the inbox and take over a conversation whenever you want.
