Meta Agent
Plans, interactions and limits
Which plans include the Meta agent, how many interactions you get and what consumes them.
The Meta agent is a feature of the higher paid plans and works with a number of “interactions” included per billing period. Understanding how they are counted saves you the surprise of an agent that suddenly stops replying.
Which plans include it
- Plus. Includes the Meta agent with 100 interactions per billing period.
- Enterprise. Includes the Meta agent with 500 interactions per billing period.
- Free, Pro and trial periods. Do not include the Meta agent. In the dashboard the counter shows a padlock and, when clicked, an invitation to upgrade.
Where you see how many are left
The counter appears in two places: at the top of the Meta agent page (with a label and progress bar) and, in compact form, in the inbox header. Click it to open the summary: interactions used out of those included, and the date the count resets. The colour turns from neutral to amber once you have used 70%, and to red when you hit zero.
What consumes an interaction
- A direct message sent by the agent.
- A public reply posted under a comment.
- A comment hidden by automatic moderation.
- A message you send from the inbox after taking over the conversation.
What happens when they run out
The agent stops replying: messages and comments keep arriving in the inbox, but no automatic reply goes out until the period renews or you move to a higher plan. The counter turns red and the summary explains it. You can still reply by hand from the inbox, bearing in mind those replies also need available interactions.
Limits imposed by Meta
- 24-hour window. You can only reply freely to a person within 24 hours of their last message.
- Authorisation to renew. Facebook occasionally asks you to repeat the authorisation: when the agent stops replying for no reason, reconnect the integration.
- Request rate limits. Meta limits how many requests can be made in a given time. The platform spreads them out on its own: during very heavy traffic a reply may arrive a few seconds later.
Beta status
Next to the agent type you'll see the “Beta” label. The feature is usable in production but still evolving: some capabilities (for example handling voice messages and images in the inbox) are marked as “Coming soon” and will be added in future updates.
